Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how MemRadar works.
MemRadar is a free RAM and SSD price tracker built for PC builders. We track Amazon prices using licensed price data, store the full history, and alert you when a product drops to your target price. Our goal is to give you the intelligence to know exactly when to buy.
Prices are updated every few hours. We fetch the current Amazon price each cycle and store a snapshot, so you can see how prices have changed over time.
We track Amazon, using licensed price data that shows real Amazon price history going back up to a decade for long-tracked products. For many products we also show Newegg's current price beside Amazon's, so you can compare before you buy. Price history, charts, analysis, and alerts are based on Amazon prices. We may add more retailers over time.
Set a target price for any product and enter your email address. When that product's price drops to or below your target, we'll send you a one-time email notification with a direct link to buy. No account required. Just your email and your target price.

For products we've tracked the longest, Amazon price history goes back up to a decade. Newer products show history from the point we started tracking them. Either way, every chart is built from real recorded prices, not estimates.
Our price history reflects the actual Amazon price recorded at each update, every few hours. Prices shown are the listed price and may not capture brief flash sales or changes that happen between our fetches.
MemRadar currently tracks DDR5 and DDR4 RAM, and NVMe and SATA SSDs. We're focused on memory and storage hardware for PC builders. We may expand to other component categories in the future.
No. Setting a price alert only requires your email address and target price, no account, no password, no personal information beyond your email.
Each product page shows a "Good time to buy" indicator that compares the current price to the 90-day historical average. If the current price is below average we'll tell you. We also show the all-time low, all-time high, and 90-day average price so you can make an informed decision.

Possibly in the future. For now we're focused on being the best RAM and SSD price tracker available. We'd rather do one thing exceptionally well than many things adequately.
