Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about how MemRadar works.
MemRadar is a free RAM and SSD price tracker built for PC builders. We monitor prices across major retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, and Newegg, store historical price data, and alert you when a product drops to your target price. Our goal is to give you the intelligence to know exactly when to buy.
Prices are updated daily. We fetch current prices from our retail partners every morning and store a snapshot so you can see how prices have changed over time.
We currently track prices from Best Buy, Amazon, and Newegg. We're actively working to add more retailers over time. Note: Amazon pricing is shown for reference only and is not included in price history charts, as required by Amazon's operating agreement.
Set a target price for any product and enter your email address. When that product's price drops to or below your target, we'll send you a one-time email notification with a direct link to buy. No account required — just your email and your target price.
Yes, completely free. MemRadar earns revenue through affiliate commissions when you click through and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you.
Amazon's operating agreement prohibits displaying their historical pricing data in charts. We show Amazon's current price as a buying option but cannot include it in price trend charts. Best Buy and Newegg data is fully charted.
Our price history reflects actual prices fetched from retailers at the time of each daily update. Prices shown are the listed retail price and may not include temporary flash sales or prices that changed between our daily fetches.
MemRadar currently tracks DDR5 and DDR4 RAM, and NVMe and SATA SSDs. We're focused on memory and storage hardware for PC builders. We may expand to other component categories in the future.
No. Setting a price alert only requires your email address and target price — no account, no password, no personal information beyond your email.
Each product page shows a "Good time to buy" indicator that compares the current price to the 90-day historical average. If the current price is below average we'll tell you. We also show the all-time low, all-time high, and 90-day average price so you can make an informed decision.
Yes, completely free. MemRadar is supported by affiliate commissions — if you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.
Use the contact page to suggest a product. As our database grows we'll be adding more products across all major RAM and SSD brands.
Possibly in the future. For now we're focused on being the best RAM and SSD price tracker available. We'd rather do one thing exceptionally well than many things adequately.
